Shipping Questions
How is shipping priced on AutoBid?
Shipping is typically quoted based on the pickup location, destination, size and type of asset, whether the vehicle is operable, and whether open or enclosed transport is needed. Final transport pricing is confirmed during post-sale coordination.
What affects the final delivery quote?
Common factors include total mileage, route complexity, seasonal carrier availability, oversized vehicles or equipment, and whether the shipment requires special handling or faster scheduling.
When is shipping arranged?
Delivery coordination normally starts after the sale is confirmed and the release paperwork is ready. Once a shipment is scheduled, the buyer can receive an ETA and tracking updates.
Can I track my vehicle after purchase?
Yes. If delivery is created in the admin panel, the buyer receives a tracking code by email and can use the public tracking page to check status, ETA, and map progress.
What Fees Should Buyers Expect?
Is shipping included in the winning bid?
Not by default. The winning bid reflects the purchase price for the asset itself. Shipping, taxes, title work, registration, and any jurisdiction-specific charges may be handled separately.
What buyer fee is currently configured on the site?
The current buyer commission rate is 5%. This is a site setting and may be shown as part of the final purchase calculation for a completed transaction.
Are taxes and title fees included?
Taxes, title transfer, registration, and local compliance costs depend on the buyer’s state or jurisdiction. Those items should be reviewed during final post-sale paperwork.
Delivery Day Guidance
What should I do when the vehicle arrives?
Inspect the asset promptly, compare it against the listing details and transport condition, and document any visible issue immediately. If anything looks wrong, contact support as soon as possible with photos and your tracking code.
What if there is a transport issue or delay?
Delays can happen because of route changes, weather, carrier schedules, or handoff timing. The delivery timeline should be checked through the tracking page first, and then escalated to support if a manual update is needed.
